Okay, so SoZ-style crafting recipes work off of caster level. That much I get, having played SoZ through. However, the crafting character in my party was a relatively straightforward mage/red wizard. So... the asking of questions that I don't know the answer to, and am hoping that someone else does, thus saving me the effort of actually building a module to test this with.
Is this total character level, or level in actual casting classes? For instance, let's take the +5 weapon enchantment. This obviously requires the craft magic arms and armor feat. However, it lists "caster level" as 15. If I have a fighter 2/wizard 13, will she be able to use this recipe, or will she require 15 actual "casting class" levels?
If the answer to the above is that the crafting class levels are required, then on to part two. Must they be in the same, or complimentary (i.e., wizard and Red Wizard, Cleric and Stormlord, etc.)? Or would a Druid 10/Bard 5 also be capable of performing this recipe?
I can't find anything online addressing this, and really would prefer not having to do actual work to test it. Thanks to anyone with a certain answer!

I do not actually have a crafting character.
But the staff has given me the impression that the caster levels are used. Thus, for your Fighter///Wizard it solely depends on the fact whether it has the Practiced Spell Caster Feat or not. With the said feat the character would have 15 caster levels and thus be able to craft items.
PrC that improve existing spell casting ability should increase the caster level according to their class descriptions. And I am quite certain that the majority of the current crafters are no way single class charcters.
As for the Druid///Bard, I honestly do not know. But I would presume that it would not be able to do that. It would be five caster levels short of the required 15.

Crafting uses the highest caster level for a single class, Practiced Caster included.
A druid5/bard10 with Practiced Caster uses CL 14 for crafting. Without that feat, only CL 10.
PrCs add to CL for this purpose. For instance, a Rog3/Wiz5/AT 5 has CL 10, CL 13 with the feat (or CL 14 if that old bug hasn't been fixed yet by Obsidian).

That is actually not true - for crafting all caster classes are added together - meaning for example I was able to craft a recipie (bag of holding, 80%) which required a caster lvl of 20 with a char that is fs 18 and bard 2 without having the practiced spellcaster feat.
So in old obsidian weirdness those classes are just added up...

1. As long as it has less than 3 properties you can add (or upgrade) properties
2. yes you can add new properties to these items (might in future make these with recipes too)
3. silver and cold iron weapons can get 3 properties, darksteel can get 2 (electric damage counts as one)
4. buffs are not limited
5. yes
