You can drop it after you finish leveling as Hellfire, yeah.

Depending on where you are, Hellrime still has a lot of use though. Brimstone isn't as useful, simply because fire damage per round isn't as great as -4 Dexterity for 10 minutes, imho.

Don't tie yourself to 1 or 2 essences. Vitriolic is excellent, but there's actually not a whole lot in the Lesser Invocations that matters. Eldritch Chain? Maybe. Flee the Scene? Duh. The Dead Walk? What, are you an evil cleric?! Walk Unseen? A poor man's Retributive Invisibility.Puck,Aug 8 2016 wrote: honestly their both being scrapped for vitrolic.

In other words, say the wand recipe requires "Ice Storm". Grab a scroll of ice storm and cast it on the empty bone wand. You make a (assumingly) successful UMD check. Voila! Your crafting worked.wrote:You can create magic items based on spells you cannot cast. You must take the appropriate Item Creation Feat and then make a Use magic device check vs. DC 15 + Spell level for Arcane spells or DC 25 + Spell level for Divine spells.
If the check succeeds, the warlock can create the item as if he had cast the required spell. If it fails, he cannot complete the item. He does not expend the XP or gold cost for making the item; his process is simply slowed. He cannot retry this use magic device check for this spell until he gains a new level.
