Hey, sorry... but I didn't know where else to put this topic.
New player here, very excited to get down to the RP!!!
I can connect to the server, but I'm having trouble downloading the files. Maybe it's because I'm in South Korea? I'm not sure. I have a 100Mbps connection, although - I'm downloading the files at a very snail rate of 20KB/sec
Is there a direct download of all the files for the server? If not, I guess I'll just wait 3 days. :/
Much thanks in advanced. Hope to interact with all your characters soon!!! Thanks again. :)

Oh my! How I miss South Korean internet. What part do you live in? What's your favorite way to have bibimbap? How are the yellow skies? Are you there to study or... wait, sorry. Should probably stay on subject. Uh...
For the most part, you are not going to experience uber download speeds when downloading server files through the client because each server is privately hosted and it has to host a ton of different connections all at the same time. As a result, your download speed is going to depend on how strained the server is for resources at any given moment.
While 20kb/s is somewhat on the low side, it's not dreadfully uncommon. I don't think I've seen download speeds higher than 250kb/s. Fortunately, it doesn't actually take three days to download. Only something like three hours.

Haha, yes South Korean internet is among the best in the world.
I'm actually American, living here. I'm actually leaving to go back to the states Saturday, the 6th of November. But yes, I lived here 3 years, enjoyed it very much. But, family calls now. Have to go back.
In the future we could make it easier for new members, by having HAK files available for immediate download. Mine's almost finished, now. Patience always pays in full, only had to watch 3 movies. Not too bad. See you guys online, soon. :)

I suspect NWN2 throttles the downloads quite a bit.

I've never seen download speeds higher than 300kb/s when downloading haks in-game, even though my internet is pretty good. I always assumed the network code for the downloader is just crummy, so it simply won't go faster than that.
