"Do they magically untie their shoelaces?"Tomekk,Jul 29 2016 wrote: But how does it work?
- Do they magically shrink so you can't put them on?
- Do they magically untie their shoelaces?
- Aliens?
- Illuminati Lizardmen made WotC do it?
- Jet Fuel can Melt Monk Boots?
- The Monk Boots buildt a border wall at the border with Non-Monk-Bootico?
- You must harvest additional Vespene Gas?
- You must construct additional Pylons?
- More wood is required?
- Not enough Mana?
- Does Bob Ross know the answer?
This. Sort of... Just falling from your non-monk legs.
Where are your honest votes? Why discuss a poll, if you are not voting?

You need to know basic stance for example, so the Boots infused by the 'ancient masters of the bare fists' will affect your character somehow.Tomekk,Jul 29 2016 wrote: So you need a degree in Zen Physics to be able to operate Monk Boots?

You need to change the boots. No other way.Tomekk,Jul 29 2016 wrote: So what if I change the shoelaces?

Could I conceivably put points into some sort of use magic device skill to use this magic device in the fashion that a monk normally would?Tomekk,Jul 29 2016 wrote: So what if I change the shoelaces?

Ahh, so a character who has much greater combat skills (High BAB) doesn't know basic stances (Medium BAB). Makes sense!

Monk's basics and Barbarian ones are different. I thought it is obvious. It is not about AB. Roleplaying is more deep, than a simple mechanics, sir.Tomekk,Jul 29 2016 wrote: Ahh, so a character who has much greater combat skills (High BAB) doesn't know basic stances (Medium BAB). Makes sense!

You may have FIGHTER skills, and know how to use a sword. But you wont be knowing how to fist. Technically BAB is applied on everything but class restrictions are here not just because someone wanted that. UMD implementation in nwn2 horrible however. Try using +5AC and +5Dodge boots in PnP with 13 UMD
I would like to make such a thing in nwn2 but everyone will start crying that they just want it to be 13, not because they are casuls of course.
