The sentence I quoted was vague. It doesn't say 'pick 1 cleric for 2 feats', 'pick 30 cleric cause you're uncreative' or pick '1 cleric/11 FS/10 stormlord/6 movanic deva cause you're a munchkin'. You can roll a cleric as a dedicated support wherein you pick Recitation over Divine Power and so forth, without breaking the game; that's what I meant.

The bolded was not the context implied by:

The frost giants out there were (in the last few months, at least) revamped and made stronger. That's why the spawn outside of their little fort doesn't trigger until you're on top of the entrance.

Honestly, what crap did I start? I may have misinterpreted a sentence's meaning, I admit and have admitted. But you're the one who called me out on it in an inquisitive manner for acting as if I meant something else entirely and telling me not to sugarcoat it. I didn't, as I stated 2 times before. By the way, you're also the one who made it a point to add jabs and provocations to your posts, so if you don't like having the same mannerisms aimed back at you, don't bloody start it you chucklehead.

The thing with the frost giants is that they are almost always a single spawn, there is a chance for a caster to come around as well, but usually you can fight them one at a time.

Mostly. The spawns a little finicky there - the first frost giant I handled without too much trouble. Then there were suddenly three at once. One of which was a frenzier, the other was the boss. The frenzier killed me before the boss even cast their first spell. :blink:

I have since learned frenziers OP. Run if encountered! XD

I was on my bard, and have picked all non-DC based spells because, well, DCs as a bard suck. So low saves aren't really gonna help me there. :rolleyes:

The point it, it's a level 12-15 area. I was level 17 and still got my ass handed to me. This... Should not be happening.

@clerics it was a joke, please don't fight.

@giants they are pretty rough, the lizards are too. By the time you can handle them well it's usually time to move on tho, food for thought.

Hey its my goto easymode build. Its even 3b20 and legal on Bgtscc legal as long as non good chaotic.

Btscc nerfed SL to 6/10, no enhanced weapons, no spells without diety Talos? and RP your sheet is really big there..so.... SL's are not too huggy in RP. Domains and such are restricted with Dieties. They are pretty hard-core in the whole walk-a-fine-line thing.

Not that I'm against an SL nerf here, by any means. But that's beside the point. Point is the build type has been recognized in a few PWs.

But for a humorous contrast, this build is extremely underpowered on high magic worlds such as RoT!

The salamanders are the only things calculated into the level range of the zone as listed. The giants were altered much later, and info wasn't updated to reflect that. The elemental, as was mentioned, is a boss.
The biggest issues of the ice plane are A) Spawn timers are hellacious. B) The Chief summons a battlemage that can one shot anyone with less than 100 hp. C) Half the lizards are rogues, and half the rogues are spellcasters with polar ray lol.
I think the spawns of the plane in general may need reworked, because even at lvl 10, you get garbage XP unless you go after the chief. Challenge rating wise, it's on par.

Look at it like this.
12 level 1 rogues are much more devastating than 12 level 1 clerics. Same CR. Challenge rating shouldn't be the only factor that goes into spawn design.

Weird, the occasional time that I went in there and encountered a new player/party in the Salamanders, and did a little RP, their comment was usually that the salamanders were pretty easy. (Lol...wonder what was I looking for?)

Ofc that's a statistics sample of basically nothing, but still....

Are these salamanders causing that much grief?

One reason i dont play on bg anymore is the rule nazing takes a lot of fun a forces paint by numbers on players.

Hehe my version of the build actually gets stronger remember rebuilds and +25 stat points and more fighter levels in in post 30 epics and accuraccy just spikes up more.

Dont play on ROT cause pure grinding ad infinum is boring as watching a turd dry.

Here and Haven is where I play and haven lately more so. For a social Rp server they got more areas for the mid-highend to explore and well better dynamic spawning for grind areas. And a better crafting system. But those are for another thread in suggestions.
