House, Chaotic Neutral, without question. Aligment swings are caused by his medication.Fell Star,Apr 26 2010 wrote: I would certainly lump Wilson in the Lawful Good category, and House into the...Chaotic Neutral, sometimes tending toward Chaotic Evil or Chaotic Good, depending on his mood. then there's the whole "alignment is not a noose, but a guide". really, ALI is only fixed for certain classes (pally's cant even be evil once, tho i think NWN is a little more forgiving).
ALI is more reflected by the NWN point system, where too many bad things can stray you from the path. but you can steer back onto it as well. (path= whatever alignment you pick for your own char, bad=axis opposite your ali)
but more about House.
that and i think house is lawful-oriented. he just has an effective cha of 5. so he comes off so abrasive he seems chaotic. but his methods should speak for themselves (what that says i dont know, i'm just guessing here)

Ah common mistake Lawful means Law abiding. Far from it.
example a paladin in the underdark drow city. LG alignment would they follow the laws the the town which basically is "might makes right", "do anything you want just do not get caught". a CE society.
Lawful means organised thought, Plans within plans, meticulous (sp?), some one who might be very picky on how things are.
He plans things through, he keeps track of many things (organised mind), and plans things out pretty darn well.
As for the law he has little respect for law, authority, or anything obscuring truth. His pride and love is truth and answers.

It's all you know.. Subjective.
It's unique for each character to some degree.
Trying to make it something solid, that must be rp'd as such just leads to frustration as different people have different beliefs regarding how that alignment should be played.
