Why should they have to say that? If you want to RP doing criminal acts, that's fine. But if other players report you because you tried to enslave their newbie character, then... /shrug

We used to allow Sleight of Hands on the server as well, and Disarm... both got disabled over time as people couldn't use them in a respectful and fun manner. I predict PvP will go away too if things don't improve soon, noone on the DM team is much of a fan of PvP to begin with.

Again, they are hidden in scry. I dont know how strong he is. I try not to metagame. I just play my PC. Both with low levels and epics.

And it is going to be so fun if you disable the PvP. Seriously, so many things will REQUIRE a DM to be online...

Nah, we'd leave it on in arena, so people would have to schedule and plan PvP, so that there's no misunderstandings and everyone can enjoy playing.

Thing is, if you're going to be the big bad Mindflayer, this is Sigil...

Illithids who enslave others unwillingly get smashed to bits relatively quickly in Sigil. People have this idea that just because an Illithid or Dragon or Demon or whatever else would get away with some behavior on a Prime, that somehow that means they would - AND therefore can - get away with the same behavior in Sigil. If your PC is trying to enslave others in Undersigil, then logic dictates that your PC is a criminal and would probably be taken down by some Mercykillers Justicar.

You know, Im sure you stop a lot issues if you asked the pcs in question if they consent to pvp first before hostiling them in rp and going at it. LIke your supposed to via rules.

I am always asking for consent if it leads to PvP. ALWAYS. Unless someone just attacks me, in that case I attack back.

A harmonium PC tries to arrest me and I refuse. What happens next? PvP is a logical and sometimes even prefered outcome for the both parties.

Then kill him. No one is stopping mercykillers. I would like even agree on KoS, but no one even tries to roleplay the consequences, apart from 'Arrive at Bazaar once more and get permad' & 'PvP once more and get ban', while I am not even violating server rules.

In the meantime, while Mercykiller PCs are off doing their own thing, why should the little guy suffer? To be frank, it can be assumed that most level 3s are either Clueless or new to Sigil (which is basically the same outcome). They may know what an Illithid is, but here's the thing. You're obviously higher level than some newbie character. Is it really fair play to be like, "Hey, do you consent to PvP?" without stating that your Illithid is pretty much guaranteed to send them to the morgue? No wonder you get reports.
PvP can be fun, but absolutely no one is going to enjoy it if they die in one hit. That's basically griefing the newbies.

Trying to roleplay a villain with any murder attempts (and just an open villain) usually frustrates some players. First, they agree to RP, but then, they realise, that they actually mortal and can lose, because Bazaar-God-Mode is not going to save player after accepting to PvP.
All this toxic atmosphere and making server specific-aligned (in this case - good aligned) leads to nothing, but to extinction of evil-players minority, without whom server wil truly become exclusevely Lawful Good.
I visited a nwn2db at morning, and saw this: http://nwn2db.com/build/?248101
BGTSCC Server already came to this.

Greetings fellow players and DMs!

Because of the latest event I feel like I need to create a special topic for this.

First of all let me remind you that we have Server Rules, that include all the necessary information about the PvP. I advise you to read them again if you are having any problems.

DMs, if you are getting reports from the other players, please make sure that you are also warning a person who is violating the rules, because it is kinda funny to get 'last warning' while you do not even have a first one.

We have Server Rules, so please do not do random reports and warnings. I know it feels bad when you or your friend dies in PvP. But we have rules about that. If someone violates the rule - state which rule it is or do not waste your time on warnings and reports.

Personally I know I am getting alot of 'backstab' reports, but I have not violated a single server rule. Everything done either after a consent of if my PC has been attacked by other one.

Again, read rules carefuly and stop throwing away bunch of reports and warnings.

No it is not a flaming thread. I do not want to spam random DMs about that (because many of you got the reports). I would like to ask a DM team to follow that route and send me and other recently reported PvPers a PM message that says what they done wrong and which rule they are not following. Having screenshots, logs and dates will be appreciated (and do not make it secret, it is already known who sent these reports). Otherwise your 'warnings' mean really nothing and you cant be threatening others with bans. Simply because it does not work like that and you cant just ban someone because you dont like a player if he or she is not violating server rules.

Thanks for attention.
