Probably DDoS again, might take a while. Today has been pretty heavy on activity among DDoSing. BG and Haven were hit today as well, I'd guess it's going to be pretty persistent for a few more hours. Naturally being looked into, but I'd plan on a alternative pass time just incase. On the bright side, it might make me speed up my christmas give away this year.

On this note, i'd like to adopt the thought, "Why do people dos an old games' servers?"

First I thought it would be a person playing on another server that wants to hit the rivals but if all three servers are hit its obsolete.

New games do get attacked as well, but they have more heavy duty protections so these kind of small attacks wouldn't really make a dent to their professional mitigation systems. That takes care of the old part, which leaves trying to rationalize why'd people DDoS to begin with? I'd say the reasons are at best petty really. However there's always some people who wish to either feel empowered, or they might have a very persistent grudge ^{(I qualify this as a less likely scenario, but not impossible)}.

Generally speaking my guess is the primary motivation still is to try to prompt strong reactions in the forums so that they can see the seeds of their deeds growing.

I've been in close communication with a number of people on this though, alongside staff members of other servers, and we're getting attacked quite little in comparison. I am fairly confident that the main reason is that there has been little to get out of our forums in the way of entertainment or empowerment. So I do still maintain the best strategy remains as being a "boring victim". Obviously there's a more mechanical approach as well, which is being approached by others, but we've kept those out of public as to not unnecessarily goad further attacks. None of us likes this, and I'm not going to prohibit communication as that'd be unfair for everyone, but I think you'll want to do it well informed.
