I'm not the DM running the fey thing, so I cannot speak with authority on its absolute status, but! It does seem to definitely be an ongoing thing for the past few months. There was also an event yesterday afternoon, and I heard there was another one planned for this afternoon. It is one of the situations in which - rumor has it - the Harmonium have acted rather harshly.

And that's all fine and dandy... but as someone who hasn't been involved in those events, I literally know next to nothing about whats going on.

If the city was in 'a state of war', that should be something that'd be obvious to people not making to those events as well. Yet I see very little, if any public information about this whole situation on forums for all to see. So thats a bit jarring, for me atleast.

I find the Fey situation being cited as a major issue to be rather.... strange. Is the Pale Prince, or whoever it is, really powerful enough to make all the major factions of Sigil quiver in fear? I thought they were some minor Fey power, causing a little ruckus where he could. I'm rather confused as to the state of this Fey event.

However, I've not been around until recently, so if the event garnered greater attention a few months ago, I'm afraid I'd not heard of it until last night. If so, it doesn't exactly strike me as a 'war zone' situation.

Quiver in fear isnt the point. Repeated attacks from an outisde force with concerted effort and the objective to slaughter as many citizens as possible though, yes, the current Triad PC's involved in that tend to think it warrants such a label.

If you take issue, feel free to do so IC, but our characters have been discussing and proposing as they see fit under the conditions they've been going through.

Edit: Also keeping in mind that the campaign has so far involved the forces of multiple Fey Courts, so... yes, concerted invasion attempts just slightly bellow what the Far Realm campaign was gearing towards. More or less at the start of that.

Why are people acting like there is no evidence that the doomguard caused violence in unsigil or that they're being treated as flavor of the week villains? My understanding is that everything which has taken place was on player initiative.

Factions aren't "quivering in fear", they're acknowledging a threat. Fey have attacked several times and caused minor damage, not enough to go into war path, but enough that they shouldn't be ignored.

I think we're getting a little off topic here.

The fey matter is a background point of interest. You don't have to make a big deal about it in character, but you also don't have to ignore it. The Triad has definitely been involved, so it makes sense that they brought it up.

It might not be realistic as a war threat, but that doesn't stop characters making a big deal out of it if they like.

Also fighting over the bazaar, if you try to think as an outsider to the situation, doesn't seem like a big issue either.

All depends on your perspective really.

Player houses have been sieged, Faction Bases have been infiltrated and stolen from, and there have been devastating attacks all around the city for 8-10 months now. Is it a war on the scale of the Faction War? No. But it is a war, and the attitudes of the Pale Prince and Raven Queen have always treated it as such.

Well, no.

The part in Undersigil had very little to do with any of us as players, which is why, correctly, NPCs are taking the flak.

The rather joking 'flavor of the month' statement was aimed at how easily everyone went from 'lets not kill the Doomguard' to 'lets fine the sh*t out of them' :P

@Sinlinara: As I stated previously, yes, if you're involved in the rarely public announced events. If not, you're clueless like some of us. But that's a different matter, and I can perfectly accept being wrong if someone can point me to where all this IC common knowledge is on forums.
