Everyone gets an OOC warning, that in case of PvP with Xezethar, he will die most likely. I usually ensure that.rapsam2003,Aug 3 2016 wrote:In the meantime, while Mercykiller PCs are off doing their own thing, why should the little guy suffer? To be frank, it can be assumed that most level 3s are either Clueless or new to Sigil (which is basically the same outcome). They may know what an Illithid is, but here's the thing. You're obviously higher level than some newbie character. Is it really fair play to be like, "Hey, do you consent to PvP?" without stating that your Illithid is pretty much guaranteed to send them to the morgue? No wonder you get reports.KingLeoric,Aug 3 2016 wrote: Then kill him. No one is stopping mercykillers. I would like even agree on KoS, but no one even tries to roleplay the consequences, apart from 'Arrive at Bazaar once more and get permad'.
PvP can be fun, but absolutely no one is going to enjoy it if they die in one hit. That's basically griefing the newbies.

If you don't warn them that you are much higher level than them, how are most of them to know - even they are "old players"?KingLeoric,Aug 3 2016 wrote: And what? You just throw a report because you agreed to PvP? Dont you find it pretty weird? No need to accept doing something dangerous if you do not know the consequences. And I doubt that 'new' players reported me. Only old ones did that after accepting the PVP and getting killed.

I am not hiding myself in scry. I am roleplaying and allowing any player to meta if he wants to. If I tell that I am epic I am forcing him to metagame. Not very fair. But he can look up in Scry if he wants to metagame and to know my level. Especially an old player knows how to use Scry.

The general spirit of this post is a problem. I do feel that, too often, evil players get slogged in Sigil. (Look at how everyone who went after the Gray Vizier complained about how he was just too good at PvP and should just die. Eventually, it was settled with a DM that he would give himself up. And then we had the Harmonium going nuts on him when the Vizier broke out to fight the Mimir Killer. Was that IC, that the Harmonium went crazy? Kind of. But it's also a case of "good isn't the clear winner" and people disliking that, which is silly. My character even got yelled at because he was basically like, "WTF is the Harmonium doing?!".) I also feel that, too often, rather than doing things that shake up the server, evil players use their brand of PvP to piss off the population.Shadowcryer,Aug 3 2016 wrote: Trying to roleplay a villain with any murder attempts (and just an open villain) usually frustrates some players. First, they agree to RP, but then, they realise, that they actually mortal and can lose, because Bazaar-God-Mode is not going to save player after accepting to PvP.
All this toxic atmosphere and making server specific-aligned (in this case - good aligned) leads to nothing, but to extinction of evil-players minority, without whom server wil truly become exclusevely Lawful Good.
I visited a nwn2db at morning, and saw this: http://nwn2db.com/build/?248101
BGTSCC Server already came to this.
Fact is, good shouldn't always win. But neither should evil try to exemplify Skeletor either. I would hope that we're all good enough at RP to avoid being the "I seek to enslave you" guy (which is just a dickish move) and actually create some long term and interesting RP. I would also hope that the good players who may or may not oppose the evil players are good enough at RP to not resort to the trope of "well, good should win!".

I think, that "Canonic Illithid Slaver" term will be more fitting here. I still do not see, whats the problem, if everyone is OK with that?rapsam2003,Aug 3 2016 wrote: Fact is, good shouldn't always win. But neither should evil try to exemplify Skeletor either. If player says "No, I do not want you try to enslave me or to PvP", Xezethar finds a reason to leave, and leaves.

Either way the main purpose of this topic is to bring the line between simply 'unfair' and 'violating the rules'. Because alot of players accused me in doing that while I am stricly following them. That was the initial point. If someone plays 'unfair' it is not the same as violating the server rules.
No, I am not telling that epic vs low level is fair, but I remember 'good aligned' players doing exactly the same thing.

And that's reasonable.Shadowcryer,Aug 3 2016 wrote:I think, that "Canonic Illithid Slaver" term will be more fitting here. I do have to ask though, would an Illithid Planeswalker do that? What I mean is, a Planeswalker (regardless of race) is already different and likely would grow beyond the stereotypical.

Evil Minority?I'll bite. How do you consider Evil characters to be (or will become, it's hard to tell with your statement) a minority when fiends are one of the most popular character races to pick? I mean, sure, a lot of those characters disappear pretty quickly, but if they all stuck around we'd have a problem with people complaining about the Good Minority.
Then there's the Vampires, Lichs, and other Undead that are almost exclusively Evil... A ton of Monstrous Races that are normally Evil, and then there's the regular run of the mill PCs who are just evil regardless of race.
Frankly, I'm not worried about us ever having a lack of Evil characters. :P

Just TELL THAT! Like you don't like whats going on... You are free to ask player stop doing that. Personally if someone asks me, I leave. Always. Sometimes I PM others and ask if it is ok, and I always get that 'yea yea, its ok lad and everything is ok, thanks for rp' and another report.
