I don't care, at all, it's pointless in a Randomly Generated Numbers Game like this. I know what UMD is in PnP dawg, But what's the point of this? if Conan Mcbigdick wants to invent is UMD to use some Boots he found Planeswalking, well what's stopping him?

Not everyone. It's only going to be player characters, but PCs are by nature exceptional and the boots are known in Sigil as effective defense for people that know how to fake the magic on them. Presumably, every planeswalker interested in defending themselves would invest the time and effort learning how to do so. There isn't any roleplay-related justification for people to not learn how to use magic stuff unless they're a mage slayer. With tumble, it's just moving around in the battlefield effectively. 10 tumble isn't even that high. It's not even enough to auto-succeed a tumble check. There's nothing exceptional about it.
Basically, nothing about either is bad roleplay. You can call it what you want, but your opinion isn't shared by anyone else in this thread, (possibly also in the server considering how commonly used these things are) save for your friend.
