I like that idea

I have a character concept in the melting that might fit into this very well, perhaps more along the lines of the Mentalist. I am unsure if the Illithid linked earlier was simply for a cool picture or a dib on it :)

Do they have to be new characters? I know someone that have allready made a newish character that have read this topic and thought it would really match their character concept well.

I love the idea!

New or old characters, I suppose, would depend on all interested parties agreeing on the idea. We've all got to agree on concept, honor code, ideas, etc.

Right now I'm just gauging interest and initial ideas. So far it looks like it'll be off and running so will, likely, start an IC thread on it in the next couple of days so people can officially step in. Hopefully by that time we'll nail it down on how we want to build the group.

This is an awesome idea and if you ever get it off the ground, I got just the character to fill the role of being the muscle :angrymob:

Also, just to pitch an idea here, you could have two leaders of the group;
A strategic leader(the manager)handling all the contracts and sorting out what guys/resources/ect that's to be used in said job, and also handling the "birdseye" side of the missions.

And a tactical leader(the team leader) running the missions on the ground, making sure everything goes off according to plan.

You could also open up a spot for a PR-type guy, being the liaison between the client(s) and the group. Charismatic, fast-talking, reassuring and easily likeable, he would be the outward face of the group, which could also have it's uses if it ever were to get into trouble with the law.

Just a few thoughts though. ;)

I like that idea. It creates a bit of Organization to the group without demanding they all be online at all times together.

Thinking a few ideas for some sort of code to adhere to. Some ideas would be (just ideas, can be ignored or altered):

Never kill a man in his own home or in the presence of his family.

At your own discretion, you may dispose of any other criminals you come across while performing a mission.

You may not harm any innocent bystanders.

Never harm children

Always follow through on a contract. Never double-cross, even if it means a larger prize

Once a job is accepted, you always follow it through.

If you are ever captured in the process of completing a job, you accept death rather than reveal the identity of your employer.

An employer who betrays your identity, or double-crosses you in any way, revokes the contract by so doing.

Killing must be done with the utmost efficiency. No "joy" kills.

Your only interest is the target, You are not there to fill your pockets. We are not common thieves.

I created one last night I may use. Human male - Sully - Crossbowman.

Haven't begun to use him yet.

Sounds excellent. I'm thinking a "demolitions expert" aka a blaster sorcerer.
