Actually the Lycanthrope template is planned as one of the last few things to complete as part of Phase I of the Racial PrC project. Genies and Half-Fiend/Half-Celestial are the others.

As was mentioned before this option was removed. I would strongly advise trying a different race if the combat form offends you.

I believe it is not a matter of offense. It's more certainly a matter of feeling extremely uncomfortable with the current form and wanting to play a thing without having to feel awful about it.
Personally, I'd prefer the female shape myself. Even with some of the wonkiness of the model I prefer it aesthetically over the current default one.
I'd be interested in seeing what the numbers would be like in a poll. I suspect that the majority currently favors having the shape match character gender, although I expect a lot of people will also complain about it a few months later and ask for it to be changed back.
The ideal situation would definitely be if we could personally choose which shape we want, possibly via the addition of a clone of the current shapechange with nothing different except for the model that it draws on. More choices is usually the preferred solution.

When playing a female werewolf, which hybrid model do you prefer?

Anatomically, do we really want this?

Or this?

If the general answer to my questions isn't "Hell, nah!", then the werewolf players on this server are odd...

Eh >_>. I prefer NWN CEP 2.xx Werewolves, they looked bad ass and had Armour versions too! The ones we have now has some weird ass Janky Animation and doesn't look like the old Roided out standing on feets wolf.

Personally I'm more fond of the gender-ambiguous model we have, since when a werewolf is bearing down on me the last thing I'm going to be doing is checking for gender. That said, it's not a strong preference, and I would be perfectly happy seeing either around.
