Strawberry, you're forgetting the "half your level" bit. So double the book Pit Fiend's Hit Dice. This explains how we have hezrou and erinyes bosses with 40+ HD. The point I'm making is that an "Old" red dragon would have far more HD than a typical PC would, leaving Adult as really the greatest age that one could be considering that.

Technically Klath is a Mature Adult, about 20 years from being considered old.

Well if you count for that and assume epic levels that's kinda why you have epic saves that can't be beat on some things. So I'll accept the explanation but maybe one of the reasons some things are too powerful in some ways. Then again the "old" dragon would have 60 hd if you double it.Ceremorph,Jun 17 2016 wrote: Strawberry, you're forgetting the "half your level" bit. So double the book Pit Fiend's Hit Dice. Then again if you use half your level then 15hd red dragon player race is only young/juvenile.

Seems a fair few people are getting unnecessarily defensive about this topic, so, it seems I can't resist chiming in!
Its really simple. Don't be a dick with your large forms.
It really doesn't matter what your RP is. I'm sure I could conjure up a character who's RP constitutes griefing. If you want to do something OOCly dickish, you deserve to be stifled. The game wasn't made for us to have large forms. But, its also nice to have varied form sizes for the sake of immersion, so, there is that too. Making it somewhat of a nice (if not necessary) evil.
Just remember to be considerate. No one player is anywhere close to being the center of the universe. If people have to play around you, you are just an inconvenience to them.
As for some of these ideas!
I liked the one about wandering NPCs. Wandering NPCs are always nice, so long as they aren't too much of a drain on the server. They add a bit of life to the server, and they really do give you a sense just how populated the city is. As well as how many people you are colliding with on a regular basis, large or medium alike!
Here is another one! Creatures who are two sizes larger than an adjacent creature automatically deal damage to them when they move "over" them (hit circles overlapping?). Just some token damage (1-6 maybe) to remind people that they are being stepped on. Maybe 1 size larger could deal half this allotted damage, or some such.
Fun fun fun!

Seriously...i have not seen this "dam there's a *** dragon in the way". I think this is being blown WAYY out of *** proportion. Klath hangs out a out of the way place next to Cookie's and of Course Juna hangs out with that thing that is smoking "dat good stuff mon", i haven't seen any large dragons just idle there. if they do go afk or ninja i'm sure it's for real life reasons cause many of us like myself HAVE a real Life outside this game, and of course sometimes our Internet says "Hey man, Screw you and your connection"*DROP* and you log back in as a Full Sized Dragon much to the annoyance of your Judging Peers and Yourself and you start to hate your ISP more.

Remember (for some reason people keep forgetting this) the market is FILLED with THOUSANDS of people day and night. You think that nice empty spot beside Cookies is actually empty? Sure, if you want to metagame the fact we can't actually add them to the server for obvious reasons. The city is teeming with people, troops, etc. That big empty space in the market is not empty.
Play your size, it's really that simple. If you're in someone's way... you're in everyone's way, even if you don't actually see them.

I believe this is why there was a ruling on it. Let one do it, and the other dozen dragons or perma enlarged golems or (gods forbid) enlarged frost giants are going to do think it's fine.Iggwilv,Jun 17 2016 wrote:How many dragons can you fit in a mini?Lucadia,Jun 17 2016 wrote: Ehhhh. And what if every dragon thats huge wants sit in the Bazaar because one is, but theres not enough room?
The corner by Cookies is especially bad because that little nook has crazy pathing issues and clicking anywhere near there has people running around that corner to move six inchest to their wherever.
Same goes for the trashcan right by the steps to the patio that even small creatures get stuck on.
Being large isn't an issue. Half the server are using large models. It's bigger than that when it becomes increasingly difficult to navigate.
I didn't learn this until recently (my bad!!), but using wasd to navigate is a constant drain and causes lag. Mouse movements do not use a constant feed through the server. This is why people talk about clicking on dragon butts and getting annoyed.

This is what respect is, a proper consideration of others. Your (generic your) RP cannot override this, imho. And one can still be disrespectful without intending to be so.Mr_Otyugh,Jun 18 2016 wrote: The players aren't being intentionally disrespectful, just that in their position they've not considered the perspective of others.
That said, I think you're correct. The tools are there, so people will use them -- whether they intend disrespect or not.
