So the only thing to do is to wait for a reset.

Since this post was aimed at me, whether Lost knows it or not, I thought that I would comment.

1) As cryptc has said, spawn triggers cannot be returned once they have been disabled. This is part of the reason why most of the things that I do start in Sigil. When I do use another area, I typically try not to disable the spawns, especially when it is 12 hours until the next server reset.

In this particular case, I could not complete a sentence without being interrupted by Unseelie, and I decided to disable the triggers near where we were standing.

A few minutes later, a new player entered the area, activating several of the remaining triggers and I decided that I would just disable all the spawns in that area.

2) The quest ended without being completed because I had to leave for RL reasons. I ported the players back to Sigil. I considered porting back out to the Beastlands to close the portal, but I did not because the portal had not been closed IC, it led to an area that was not dangerous, and the portal was two-ways, so people could get back if they needed to.

3) There is no reason why it should seem as if nothing at all has happened. The multiverse in general, and Sigil especially are places that change. When a city occasionally delivers a new street in the same way a pregnant whale delivers a baby...well...there is no reason to act as if "nothing has happened at all."

4) And as for your attached image and this:

I am personally affronted by the imperative, and more so by the comparison to an unruly toddler. Intentional or not, it is rude.

I wanted to wait, but I am adding two cents none the less.

Lost, you have the most "interesting" manner to put things. And I -do- mean that with oozing sarcasm.

In case you wonder why some of your posts get removed, it is -exactly- b/c of this behaviour.

If you feel like saying something, say something constructive and perhaps -try- to use some tact, mhm?

I'm locking this thread now. I hope everyone can breathe deeply, count to 10, and get on with things. This is too small a matter to be arguing about at all.

Spot on, I'd say. But how can you expect me to find something worthy of a thought in that post of yours when it is as it is?

First of all you started it by stating how you thorougly disagreed with me. Normally I have nothing against people disagreeing with me, however, you were making the following statement:
wrote:- Events are not fun...
- No one needs to do the clean up after having one.
- [There is no image.]
- There is no need to return the missing monsters, no need  to close the event portals, no need to wipe the top of the fireplace, and there should be a huge crater of a mess left afterwards.
- You can see the picture that is not supposed to be there, and the picture doesn't have a boy in it, or a mess.
You proceeded by referring to me with an acronym which I was not able to determine. For all I knew, you could have been calling me with names and I can produce a list of insults from the acronym 'TC' that would leave no one feeling 'unagitated' from it. If you have a need to refer to a specific forum member, you can use the specific username for that purpose.

I deemed your first "reason" as unrelated text of gimcrack trumpery frill, while the second one did not go beyond your own unverified assumptions.

If anyone logged off or lost their connection in an "Event" zone and the portal is no longer there, they will be unable to leave that zone until reset. Thus, any event portals will be left open; we as DMs try to leave them in inconspicuous places when possible.
Well, how about returning the mobs back to normal if the portal is on a "grinding" map?
