The cheese build? Do tell, do tell.

Now, I would want to ask how does having Epic Spell Focus: Necromancy on any palemaster character make it better or worse from the perspective of role-playing? It only makes sense if we were to unwittingly presume and limit all palemasters as casters of a single school of spells. Having said that sentance, I'd argue that a Palemaster's mastery of the deathless arts rises from the class abilities and not from the arcane spell selection itself.

However, I would advice going for class combinations which you can explain In-Character to another player. If it requires something similar to Elminster's backround, who is the FR's number uno "powergamer", so be it.

Meh it's not that. Personally, i got tired of seeing pcs with the fighter/barb/RDD from back in the day..left over saga from nwn1 i guess...old habits die hard.

I thought pale master was all about the art of necromancy, just wanted something that makes..sense so to speak.

I do know, however, that some of the most powerful characters I've ever played were statistically weak (build wise). If you've got a good community who values great RP (and good rpers know how to play without playing the "badass" card because of their uber builds) then anyone, with any build, can climb to the top. My old NwN1 character was fairly tough but a good 60% of the characters in our mod could take him one on one. He did, however, end up as the most powerful PC (and eventually NPC) in the mod... through nothing more the RP with fellow players.

Builds are fun if you're going to spend a lot of time hacking and killing things but concepts are much more fun when they are directly RP oriented.

I figure a power build would be something like

cleric 18 /shadow dancer 1/ bard 1/ Rdd 10

that whole freedom of movement/death ward voiding iron body, full bab of a fighter, haste, and other fun stuff. If I played paladins/clerics more I could probably tweak it better. Few harms and slay living is always fun too.
Freedom and Death Ward do not prevent Stone/Iron Body negatives here.
