A couple of thoughts... as Fell mentioned, this is prone to abuse. Whether by immature trollers posting insulting comments or using them as an excuse to type curse words, or winding up holding nothing besides "+5 axe for sale, see Joe the Barbarian". I'd see it as a far better system to either set them up as faction-specific boards (only postable by members of that faction, but readable by all), which would go a long way towards avoiding "Ha U N00b, I PWN U" dropped on every board in town, or having a system whereby the messages would pass through a "proofing" stage first to prevent abuse.

Just an opinion there... personally, I don't think such a system is really needed when we DO have an in-character portion of the forums to use. The forums are definitely part of the SCoD experience, and not wishing to visit them is taking away from your own enjoyment.

i like the idea of having a Board in town.. or Even a notice board in the ooc room.. The one in town would Be usefull for Traders and people looking to Sell goods.. Aswell as announcing Faciton meetings.. plays.. and the such.. as not everyone wishes to hop online and look at the board and such.. when people mention it in game

I hate ingame boards.

Every nwn2 server that I've been on the boards simply became a "I seek +5 slayerness axe of baddassness" or "Im selling +5 Vorpal Panties".


Thats literallly all that was on there, and what very very few things that were put on there of actual interest to roleplayers was quickly pushed off by more and more items for sale and it got to the point that most people just stopped reading the boards period.

Put one in or not, it matters not to me I personally think its a waste opf space and an unnessicary increase in game file size.

Prefer forums less scripting hits all game times and staff can quickly edit or slap folks for post.
