And you should realize, this is a private server, and we can run it however we like, so if there is a small minority causing a problem for the majority, even if they do follow our rules, we can ban them if we feel like it. And honestly, at this point, I don't think many would raise an eyebrow if we did.

There is a difference between playing an evil character and people thinking "man, that character is really evil and scary" and "man, the player playing that character is a real dick, I don't want to deal with them at all". When you turn into the latter, you're being a problem for the good of the server, and there is a limit of how much time the staff is willing to spend trying to solve the problem before just doing the simple solution.

Strange, that it is you, who have mentioned "trolling".

A bait character, someone made as a free person but the player is expecting you will come along and catch them. Consent for being made a slave, the fact that you made a 'slaver' and did not generate any of these on a server full of people who love subs and slavery RP is a pretty clear indicator you did not mean to get very involved in the slavery RP. All that is left is the CvC, so do not be suprised the players know you made the characters for CvC rather than evil RP.

No one is telling anyone that CvC is bad, they are saying you are not approaching it the way the server expects.

You may want to read that there, probably more important to what is being talked about than the evil RP thread. If you dont feel like reading it all I have quoted the part that applies here.

wrote: If PvP happens during the course of RP, it can be enjoyable and a tool to advance the story. However if a player is here specifically to elicit and participate in PvP, we suggest that player look elsewhere.
If you can not play a slaver without specifically looking for CvC then you just need a better character concept or a different server. It is your style of play being questioned, not your adherence to specific rules.

Or not, I just noticed that you are swaying the admin to want to rewrite the server rules because of you. If your complaint was that we were a hug box before then congratulations on doing your part to make it worse.

Personally I do not know why staff is getting involved after a player accepts to PvP and he loses. Its quite a natural thing. I would understand if we had 1 life - perma death on Sigil but we do not have such a thing.

Again, if player decides to follow the route, why I am being accused because of that? Next time he can refuse if he likes to, RP is not enforced on the server, you are free to chose whom you are playing with.

Oh I do not want to rewrite the rules because of me. The problem is that especially me and other players are being accused in server rules violation. If DM team does not like a play style, no need to tell me that I am violating the rules. Tell the truth.

There also difference between "man, that character is really good and goody" and "man, the player playing that character is a real dick, I don't want to deal with them at all". Much of that could be seen only if you get in IC conflict.
And there are not much conflicts, since everyone is playing good alignments.

On my mind it is better to work on Server Rules, rather then ban people, who are disliked because of their roleplay style. In this case - just being openly evil.

This is what it comes down to. General rule of thumb: don't be a dick.

And it always happens after the defeat.

"Oh look, a kobold punched someone and we killed it! SO FUN! THANKS FOR RP!"

"OMG, we lost to the guy who is wearing TLK armor and casts still spells 0-9! He killed us in 1v3, how lame he is!" -> Goes to forum and throws a report.

And it is always like that because moslty no one can admit his defeat. If you are not able to do that there is no reason to accuse other players in the violation of the server rules however. Thats the main problem.

There's a reason why the rules aren't super specific, it encourages ruleplaying and hiding behind rules. You've been told to stop and behave better, heck there was even a public announcement more or less because of you two. Please stop trying to make this more complicated than it needs to be. :P

If you can't see what you're doing wrong, maybe it's easiest neither of you two go for PvP route at all, alright?

The problem is that:

1. I've been told it 'one last time' by Mimi, without even getting a 'first time' from the DM team.
2. No one from the DM team told me to stop. I am not talking about the one who asked me however (but anyway it is not a player), but again no a single PM from the team.
3. I am not violating the rules, but someone from the team is sure that I am. I do not even know who it is because they are not throwing me a PMs...

Dont like my play style - send me a PM and ask me not to play like that. YOur reports are making it even more complicated and they are unlikely to change anything. Why? Because I do not know that you do not like my play style and I continue to be playing like that, and re-reading the rules because of tons of reports over and over again, unable to get 'which server rule I violated'...

I'm not sure how many times we have to repeat what the server expects as far as PvP is concerned.

Anyway, I feel like the thread has fulfilled its purpose. Locking.

I don't mind pvp at all, As long as it is Consent too OOCly. I mean ..it's ..kinda dumb when some one goes out of there way to Erk some one ICly and then go "Can't hurt me, bazaar godmode activate" If you ...i dunno make fun of a Thousand year old Tanar'ri and you're some berk, well...you're going to have a bad time.
