So out of curiosity Rob, lets say a player is a criminal that this group goes after but with the PVP by consent rule... how do these bounty-hunters get the job done?
and you cant detain one unwillingly or its autoing :/
I would hope! that if one playes a outlaw type character that they are wiling to do PVP else its kinda like "why are you here as a outlaw if you wont PVP?"
is there anything I missed rule wise or something that helps the situation by chance?

not a problem, and thank you for answering my next question :) was curios about EM/DM events pertaining to thisDarkrob,Feb 15 2017 wrote: Well I'm not overly concerned about that angle right now. Hopefully the vast majority of their targets will be DM/EM controlled in (mini)events. We'll worry about any PvP things later.

Most underrated of drow deities, shamelessly killed off in a way that makes absolutely no sense, all to further the 4th edition dumbing down of game mechanics :< RIP in peace, press F to pay respects.

sorry, to young for the A-Team :PDarkrob,Feb 15 2017 wrote: Yeah.... no, hehe. It's not supposed to be like that.
It's simply bounty hunters/Assassins who are not 'Typically dark and evil' and vile. The whole premise is to be civilized, gentlemanly and whatnot, with an honor code that is close to those who belong to the Triad. That's why some of the 'might' be ex-members simply tired of having their hands tied by all the rules. They're still hired killers but for better reasons than simple coin.
But I did laugh at the A-Team premise :P
but anyhow I was refering to my fisrt post about solders of fortune working with the law.. some folks out there cliam there are private military contractors out there working for governemts (not trying to strat any politics as i dont care :P ) but the premise is i took it would be taht these folks would be hired from factions abroad, including the triad , and cant tell me that wont happen :P while lore wise perhaps, but this is SCoD and factions are player driven ;) so these's bound to be corruption somewhere.
anyhow so, prefferd alignment would be Any Chaotic, or Chaotic Good? just geeting a better feel for the idea atm
aighty, so all this is complaetly a template example presented :) fair enough.wrote:The names are just supposed to be examples of character roles and designs. They don't have to be adhered to. I just wanted to give people some ideas.

I'm thinking (and this is still open to the players themselves who're interested) that the alignments would be Neutralish. Killing people for bounty does not make one a good person but one doesn't have to be evil to do so.
Ever watch Django? Dr Schultz (played by the Awesome Christoph Waltz) is an example of what I am thinking of. He's a killer... very expert at it and makes a fortune collecting bounties but he does so with a civilized touch and knows the ins and outs of the law to keep him safe from incarceration. He's certainly not a 'good person' but has good tendencies. He doesn't think twice about killing a man in front of his son just to collect the bounty but at the same time will act compassionately to those not in his sights.
