And pelhikano,

If i spend all the time estabelishing her as a character, and leveling her up, only to find out later that my character is broken and doesnt work as intended or as i planned, then yes, i do consider it a waste. Because not only does she not function as i wished, but now i cannot play her, after the time spent leveling her up and estabelishing her with others as a character. So, yes, it would be a loss of time and effort. :(

In what way do you think it is a waste of time?. Characters are meant to be flawed and sometimes useless , thats what makes them fun to RP and chalelngeing to actually keep alive.

Take my Character for instance. Vale may do shit tons of Melee damage with his halberd and he has decent Hp. But he also have alot of skill points diverted to Social skills like Intimidate or diplomacy, and alot in crafting and invetigative skills aswell. not to mention that my build with him is far from utilizing his full potential since doing that would be powergameing in my mind.

SO id say you shouldnt think of it as a waste of time. but more of it as a fun challenge that needs creative thinking to get turned around :D

That all comes down to a matter of taste... and I agree that it is annoying to have a planned character get broken by a change on a server

That said, if said character is a long running, well established character, and the admin group has the time, we might in some cases help with a rebuild or give some xp back to fix something, or swap a feat that turned useless... Wouldn't depend on it though :)

Regarding the Hellfire Warlock yeah, it is not strickly by the book. But if NWN2 were strictly by the book, there would be other ways to avoid the constitution damage...

Hmn, how about giving the Hellfire Warlock Eldritch Blast progression as they should by the book?

only odd thing I have noticed is some beast get really cool weapons yet when they die its not there. Makes me wonder if having disarm or improved disarm would allow acquiring it.

They won't always drop as per design... just so monsters have more varieting equipment on them, but that drops are not too frequent.

I'm considering playing on Sigil as I am getting bored of the BG server.

I had some questions:

1. How common are dead magic areas and what exactly do they do? What spells are cancelled? Are buffs already cast stripped? Weapon buffs? Bard songs?

2. Do classes have the normal alignment restrictions? Or pre-requisite classes like neading sorc/bard before RDD?

3. What are the highest stat buff items? Do people usually try to end main stats on evens or odds?

1) There's only one dead-magic dungeon, what it means... no magic can be cast, no scrolls/potions/wands functions, buffs that are already cast are stripped off, weapon and armor buffs should get stripped off and bard songs will not function.

2) Yes, exception of Doomguide that no longer needs Kelemvor as deity, since we don't even have Kelemvor in deity lists.

3) +5. Depends on player how they try to end main abilities, if you're asking which is more optimal, then odd abilities are way to go.

You're welcome and very little automatic game mechanical alignment changes, DMs do occasionally shift alignments based on actions of player characters however.
