It ranges in genre from fantasy, modern and sci-fi but there's a hundred or so 'dark skin' sorted images and some of them are fairly decent. Otherwise Pinterest is a good place to look (Better than google image search)

Yeah, the girl on your pic got a Celtic warpaint, Celtic torc and a chain mail very likely "borrowed" from some unlucky Roman legionnaire (this is a tube&yoke cut Roman chainmail vest).

For Egypt you might also look for Egypt and Meroe godesses, queens and historical art. Better chance for something that is skin-showing but not skimpy. Especially since real Egyptian clothes weren't any kind of fantasy lingerie.

Or maybe my specifications are just incredibly narrow. I mean, how DARE I try to look for a female warrior clad in traditional viking armor? Or, even worse, a brown-skinned, rosewood-haired(Wut! You want a black woman WITHOUT black cornrows? Impossible!) woman dressed in ancient Egyptian armor? The cheek! :P

So I had an idea: What if we set up a sort of Request-an-avatar thread? A place where we could ask the community for specific avatar pictures, and if someone happened to have a picture just like that, or knew where to get it, they could help that person out?
Though I have to admit I'm not suggesting this purely out of altruistic reasons, I'm just tired of spending hours searching through pictures in the vain hope that, somewhere, out there, exists the exact kind of picture I'm looking for. xD
