That's a failure of the players, not of WotC. WotC can't be blamed for bad roleplay.

It's impossible roleplay, not bad roleplay. I'd pity the player who would seriously try to convince herself to be playing such thing effectively, because it would be a sign of her mental illness. You can burn sugar and obtain caramel, you will never get diamonds from burnt sugar.

The major problem is, people confuse Sune with Sharess. Compare the dogma of Sune with the that of Sharess. People try RP a cleric/paladin of Sune as some hedonistic, overly-passionate (to the point of ridiculous) person who sleeps with just about anything and encourages such behavior. Sune is not about sex over romance/love, rather the opposite. Sune epitomizes the concepts of Pragma love and Philautia love (see this article for the basics: the-ancient-greeks-6-words-for-love-and-why-knowing-them-can-change-your-life ).

One way I see a paladin being " chaotic "

That the paladin is mixed class of Paladin and cleric, with let's say healing domain and chaos domain.

With the chaos domain being some thing the paladin got " stuck " with. Like the godess though they were simply too up tight and though to enter jeckt some " fun " i to their live.

Technically, you can't be a paladin cleric any more than you can be a monk fighter. Once you take those cleric levels, you're no longer a paladin. This mechanically doesn't exist in Nwn2, but in pnp there are specific feats that you must take just to multiclass with only one class.
You've steered away from your tenants, your oaths, and gone a different path. Some would be alright with certain shifts. A paladin of a god of suffering and martyrdom is one thing, but Helm would strip you of any and all paladin powers if you stopped being a paladin.

Sune is the only chaotic good deity to EVER allow Paladins. Even in the 5th edition of D&D, that is the case.
