the name change was not fair.wrote:1.1) Naming/background
- No modern, profanity or celebrity names, any Dungeons and Dragons (DnD) setting names (except celebrity/god) are acceptable. Your character also has to have a name (on other words, no "Nameless", "No name" characters).
- Real life "earth" is not acceptable background. Using the multiple different DnD settings is allowed for background.
- Playing children of god or other famous entities is not allowed.
I Dont Complain, But. . .

I mean I complain, really. My character, Nex Mystfang is a dustman factotum and had a name change to Factotum Nex. To keep close to them Dustman NPC and just being cool, hehe. Then, the admin told the DM to change the name back and the DM changed it to Nex Mystrunner. I wont name names but according to this

Just because we have not considered everything it doesn't mean it'll be something we want. We decided that titles or things which refers to ranks refers to direct power which is in a way a form of autoing, while you do not mean it that way, it works subconsciously like that.
Factotum is not a name, neither do most of Cage call themselves Namers or with their ranks.

*Still whines about having this in his name but understands Mr.O's point* . . .Ok, but please change my name back to Mystfang then since Mystrunner is no the original name. But how exactly would I harm anyone? There are just no more than 5 of us who participate in the factions? Why not having one player with such name?
And factotum means nothing, really. Just a soldier of his faction, why not?
Its a fifth circle initiate, nothing to consider like factor or someone who has authority to do something but incase people will brawl in the mortuary I can "ask" them to go away and get shouted oocly.

I can re-quote the first post I made that explains what's the harm in it.
We won't give players any forms of automatic badges which would designate that they'd be better in anyway. Be it Faction ranks in name, castles or anything.
Also there are always player characters that are part of factions, others more and others less vocal than others. We have already made a lot of work that will improve faction roleplay likely and will be added soon enough.

Not to beat a dead horse...
But as an additional note on why not to include titles in names: Your rank can change. If your character decides to drop out of a faction, they would no longer be a Factotum, would they? Saves the DMs the hassle of having to change names everytime someone changes rank.
Additionally, Faction involvement will likely increase after the next patch when the rest of the Guild Homes are in.
