I tried to make a skeleton Hellfire Warlock, then realized that (A) I wouldn't be able to use the core ability of the class, and (B) I wouldn't meet the prerequisites within 30 levels, let alone 28.
Do I have to wait until a reset to remake the character as a regular warlock, or can I get help?
Help!

I'm not entirely sure on how rebuilding the same character works as I haven't done a complete scrap-it-and-rebuild build, but if you change the capitalization on your logon, it'll boot you back to the OOC room when you next log in. This will get you to the Reaper NPC who can help rebuild. I think I recall hearing that this loses the XP in your pool, but it sounds like that might not be a problem for you. Hopefully this helps.

The issue is that we want to make sure you're in the OOC room after a remake. If you deleted and remade the same character in, say, the Abyss Rest Cave, that's where your new character would start. Rest assured that right now we're considering options to get people back to the OOC room for rebuilds, but another option would be to ask a DM or EM who's not running an event for a quick port. What we're trying to avoid is a "20 players on, 18 of them hanging out in the OOC" situation.

Also you can rebuild without using this trick.
1. give your items/gold for someone to hold
2. log off and make a new character with the exact same name
3. meet your friend and get your items back
4. play normally, preferably not logging off until the next server reset
5. when next you log on, you'll be on the old character (don't worry, this is normal)
6. with the old character after reset, delete and remove xp
7. relog and the new char is selectable
It sounds complicated, but it's also a bit beneficial since you can get some xp in lowest levels before you start getting xp from your old characters pools.
Problem is that the exploit above might make it so that we have to turn off free respawns in ooc room at some point, or start tracking those that use the exploit for anything else than rebuilds.
