Just trying to see what the changes to Hellball are, but I don't seem to be finding it under feats or spells.

The spell description ingame do not reflect the changes too.

Its under feats now, Three new damage types added and the evasion bug is fixed. The IG descriptions will be updated with the next lot of spells as i did all the tlk file before the script updates.

If I may ask, what was the Evasion bug?

Its the last entry on the feats tab Cere, Hellball is suppose to avoid evasion, but it was bugged and never did and now it does.

I don't think 70d6 damage is really comparable at all to Vampiric Feast. Any improvement is welcome, but it's still not truly compelling as an alternative. At its very very best, which is a situation that will never occur, it can do 420 damage. It's average damage is of course more like 210 or some such. Then you factor in the half damage on save, you've cut that down to 105 or so. Then you factor in how common high resistances or total immunity to things like Fire, Cold & Acid are, and there goes another big chunk. At the end of the day, the spell damage may only be comparable to one or two swings from a competent melee attacker.

Now I realize that Vampiric Feast is greatly overpowered and that you wouldn't really want it to compare fully. It's the main reason I've never taken it on any character - it just feels too exploitative.

If the damage couldn't be resisted or be made immune to, that would go a long way towards making it a decent epic spell choice.

I would suggest giving it a go first, It has a high save and voids evasion/improved evasion and a much larger range and slightly larger aoe then vamp feast. If its still seen as useless i may later make a further change to the number of uses but for now it seems fine.
