those are no fun...Especially when most melee guys have+5 str stuff on them
That aside, is there a difference between crafting and enchanting here? Does craft skills like craft armor or weapon produce basic stuff or are there some neat crafting recipes as well?
Also, does anybody knows what is they key to the portal on the southern end of the Great Bazaar?

The +5 gear doesn't really help much,
Against the Bigby's Forceful Hand, the melee character is going to require a Strength Modifier of 14, a Strength Score of 38, just to have 50% chance of resisting.
(Although, the spell can be countered by being immune to both knockdown and daze.
There are boots and potions that allow you to become immune to knockdown for short periods of time and you can pay an NPC to cast Mind Blank on your character in the Bazaar. (I am under the impression that simple Dispell will remove these protections.) )
And let us take a look at Bigby's Crushing/Grasping Hand; as long as the targeted melee character is not a Dwarven Defender with an AC of 70+ the chances are that the caster is going to win the initial "save" and thus all the succeeding saves.
Bigby's Clenched Fist will do wonders against anything that doesn't have high fortitude saves or damage reduction. Raging Barbarian would be the only thing I would not cast this spell at.
Bigby's Interposing Hand will automatically equal to -10 to the target's AB.
(Well, the only plausible counter to the Bigby spells is high amount of spell resistance. Epic monk who has spend all his epic feats into Improved Spell Resistance would have a total of 54 spell resistance, 52 if they went for PTWF.)
Crafting produces the basic stuff, which you further improve by enchanting.
The portal key for that one is bit expensive.
