I always thought that the material of the weapon didn't help bypass DR for wounding.... am i wrong?

While I have not played a bleeder on this server, I have on another and I used specific material weapons to inflict bleed damage on various mobs who had materials based DR. That would lead me to believe that it would be the same here, unless changes have been made to how bleed works here.

Agony wielding a correct Material weapon like Cold Iron will help you by pass DR with Physical damaging spells like blade Barrier and tentecles. why would you think it not work for wounding?Agony_Aunt,Aug 15 2014 wrote: I always thought that the material of the weapon didn't help bypass DR for wounding.... am i wrong?

IB bleeding definitely works as Orlitoq mentions. However my testing has only extended as far as special material type of testing, so I am uncertain if it also works with just alignment penetration considerations... it's a minute difference that shouldn't matter at all... but then it's NWN2 where a lot of things that shouldn't matter do matter.
I also don't know if the item provided wounding is extended with this, but if Orlitoq has tested that in past, I'd be willing to assume based on IB Bleeding script that it might work just the same.

Bad on me for not clarifying that the bleeder I played was indeed an Invisible Blade. I have not separately tested wounding on weapons outside of that.Mr_Otyugh,Aug 15 2014 wrote: IB bleeding definitely works as Orlitoq mentions. ... if Orlitoq has tested that in past, I'd be willing to assume based on IB Bleeding script that it might work just the same.
